Pilot Sport PS2 Description
|
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 and Pilot Sport PS2 ZP is a max performance summer tire. For sports cars and ultra high performance coupes and sedans. Originally developed for Original Equipment (OE) for prestigious vehicles like the BMW Alpina Z8, McLaren SLR and Porsche GT2 & GT3 models. Like all summer tires, Pilot Sport PS2 is intended for use in wet or dry conditions, not wintry snow/ice.
Drawing from Formula One tire design, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's were designed to significantly outperform all other Michelin high performance summer tires in both wet and dry conditions. This tire is the #1 choice of the manufacturers of the world's fastest cars. The ZP is the runflat version, and ZP tires are marked as "runflats" in TireVan's tire information.

• Acoustically tuned asymmetrical tread pattern
• Asymmetrical tread design featuring more grooves for water evacuation on the inside shoulder and massive tread blocks for maximized handling on the outside shoulder

• Size-optimized, precisely placed individual aramid/nylon hybrid filaments via patented C3M Technology
• Highly specialized dual side-by-side tread compounding, one optimized for maximized dry grip and the other optimized for wet handling, wear, and durability
• Design breakthrough called the Variable Contact Patch
• ULP (Ultra-Low Profile) technology consisting of a carcass shape optimized for very short sidewalls (as low as 25 series)
