Nokian's Hakkapeliitta 5 is a studded winter tire. For passenger cars and performance sedans. Intended for use in dry and wet conditions, and wintry snow and ice.
Nokian designed the Hakkapeliitta 5 to be the premier studded winter tire in North America. The newest addition to the legendary 70-year old Hakkapeliitta family, the Hakkapeliitta 5's tread pattern and components were designed to optimize grip in the most extreme winter conditions.

• Factory-studded with the Bear-Claw Square Stud technology
• Tread blocks features a sharp, bear claw-like projection circled by siping, which optimally positions and supports the studs
• Fluted, square-shaped stud pin always point in the driving direction ensuring excellent ice grip and lateral stability, and they maintain their orientation which is critical for lateral stability
• Proprietary Quattrotread combines four different rubber compounds for better driving stability, stud operation, and tire noise.
• Purified canola oils replace petrochemical aromatics in the rubber, improving environmental friendliness
• One of the quietest studded tires in the class
