Sumitomo HTR Z II Description
|
Sumitomo HTR Z II is a ultra high performance summer tire. For sport cars, coupes, and sedans. Like all summer tires, the HTR Z II is intended for use in dry and wet conditions, not wintry snow/ice.
Sumitomo designed the HTR Z II to provide ultra high performance with a unique look and sizes for 17" and 18" "Plus Two" and "Plus Three" fitments.
Sumitomo HTR Z II Features
• Tire compounds combine Ultra Micro Carbon Technology and Silica Based Rubber Engineering for high levels of wet and dry traction
• Revolutionary, aggressive directional tread pattern with a bold, wide tread for an aggressive appearance and improved grip
• Deep, circumferential center rain groove of the HTR Z II provides superior hydroplaning resistance
• Multi-Direction water channels pump water from under the tire and improve wet traction, handling grip, handling performance, and steering response in the wet
• Short, wide tread blocks of the HTR Z II provide excellent cornering grip and performance, with quiet ride and reduced irregular wear
• Variable width lateral grooves minimize tread noise for quiet control while allowing excellent water evacuation from tread area
• Wide-block shoulder stabilizers strengthen shoulders for maximum dry grip, more predictable steering response and better wear
• HTR Z II's "Chaos" tread pitch sequencing minimizes noise for exceptionally quiet ride
• Strong construction through full-width high-density steel belts, wrapped with Jointless Band Cap Ply
• Flange guard helps protect wheel from curb damage
